If The Fireplace Does Not Light; Lighting & Shutdown - Heat & Glo Foundation Series Installation And Operating Manual

NOTE: This fi replace is equipped with an ignition device which automatically lights the pilot.
DO NOT try to light the pilot by hand.
B. IF THE FIREPLACE DOES NOT LIGHT
1. Turn off the fi replace at switch.
2. Turn off all electrical power to fi replace.
3. Wait fi ve (5) minutes to allow any gas that may have accumulated
inside fi rebox to escape. If you then smell gas, STOP! Follow safety
information on front cover and on previous page of the installation
manual. If you don't smell gas, go to next step.
4. Turn ON all electrical power to fi replace.
5. Turn fi replace on at switch.
CAUTION: If fi replace will not operate, follow instructions TO TURN OFF GAS TO APPLIANCE on lighting instructions tag
fastened to the appliance and call your service technician or the gas supplier.
NOTE: When fi replace is initially lit, condensation will appear on the glass; this is normal in all gas fi replaces and will
disappear after several minutes.
