Optimizing the Printing Quality

Re-Curing Ink

When the ink is not completely cured after printing is complete, cure the ink by illuminating it once again
with the UV-LED lamp .
A characteristic of UV ink is that it cures quickly when exposed to light from the UV-LED lamp, but curing may
be difficult for materials that absorb ink like cloth . This function may alleviate this symptom .
MEMO
• This function cannot be used if media setup has been canceled ([SETUP] is off ) .
• The UV-LED lamp illuminates the print area configured in media setup .
• The effect depends on the media material .
Procedure
1.
Press [FUNCTION] .
2.
Press [ ] several times to display the screen shown below .
FUNCTION
UV SCANNING
3.
Press [ENTER] .
The print heads move, and the print area is illuminated by the UV-LED lamp .
MEMO
You can stop the operation by pressing [ENTER] while operation is in progress .
