Should I allow the battery to discharge completely before charging?
No. It is better to recharge the battery often and avoid frequent full discharge.
However, allow a full discharge once a month to enable reset.
Should I charge the battery partially or fully?
Once calibration has been done, it does not matter whether you charge the
battery fully or partially. Charging a full battery will not harm the battery.
Should I charge the battery before putting it into storage?
It is advisable to store the battery with a 40% charge. However, storing the battery
in a cool place is more important than the state of charge. In addition, make sure
that the battery is not fully depleted before putting it in storage. Otherwise, the
safety/protection circuit may trip.
Will the battery heat up during charging?
It is normal for the battery to emit a small amount of heat during charging. The
Smart battery is equipped with a temperature sensor that will disrupt the flow of
charge current when extreme temperature levels are detected.
The recommended operating temperature for the VX 680 is from 0

How often must I perform battery conditioning?
It is recommended to perform battery conditioning once every three months or
each time 80 short charge/discharge cycles have been completed.
Many batteries undergo periodic full discharges as part of their regular use. In

If no discharge reset has occurred for a few months, the battery pack must fully
discharged manually.
