The Agilent E1463A 32-Channel Form C Switch Module is an "instrument"
in the slots of a VXIbus mainframe. Each module is assigned an error
queue, input and output buffers, and a status register.
Instruments are based on the logical addresses of the plug-in modules. See
the C-Size VXIbus Systems Configuration Guide to set the addresses to
create an instrument.
The Agilent E1463A 32-Channel Form C Switch Module is a VXI-bus
C-Size register based product. The Form C Switch Module provides 32
channels of Form C relay switching. Each channel includes a Common (C),
a Normally Open (NO) and a Normally Closed (NC) terminal. Each relay
can switch up to 5 amps.
The channels can be individually controlled or can be scanned. Each
channel uses a non-latching relay and all channel Commons (C) are
connected to the Normally Closed (NC) terminals following a power
ON or a reset command.
Pads are provided on the component assembly for the installation of user
provided protection circuitry. The terminal module contains screw terminals
for user wiring connections.
