SEARCHING FOR AND
TEMPORARILY STORING ACTIVE
FREQUENCIES
If you do not have a reference to frequencies in your ar-
ea, use a limit, direct, or service search (except weather
service search) to find a transmission. Also see "Guide
to the Action Bands" on Page 64.
Notes: While doing a limit, direct, or service bank
search, press :
if you want the scanner to pause 2 seconds
DELAY
after a transmission ends before it proceeds to the
next frequency (see "Delay" on Page 33).
if you want the scanner to skip data signals
DATA
(such as fax or modem signals) and search only for
audio (voice) signals (see "Skipping Data Signals"
on Page 38).

Limit Search

A limit search lets you search within a specific range
of frequencies.
1. Press
PROG
MHz
appear. 29.000 MHz is the low end of the
scanner's range.
2. Enter the frequency that is the lower limit of the
range you want to search (including the decimal
point), then press
3. Press
LIMIT
1300.000 MHz is the upper limit of the scanner's
range.
