A key whose inscription is represented by a field in the screen and which
varies dynamically to suit the current operating situation. Softkeys are function
keys for which the functions are defined in the software.
Software limit switches limit the traversing range of a axis and prevent the
table from contacting the hardware limit switches. Two pairs of values can be
specified for each axis, and these can be activated separately by means of the
PLC.
The spindle functionality is divided into two performance steps:
Spindles: Speed or position closed-loop controlled spindle drives analog +/-
10V or digital
Auxiliary spindles: speed open-loop spindle drives, e.g. for driven tools.
With spline interpolation, the control can produce a smooth curve on the basis
of just a few intermediate points that have been given on a set contour.
For frequently recurring machining tasks, standard cycles are available:
for drilling/milling technology
for turning technology
A series of instructions in a part program that can be repeatedly called with
different supply parameters. The subroutine is called from the main program.
Every subroutine can be locked to prevent unauthorized output and display.
Cycles are one form of subroutine.
Mode of the control. Part programs can be created or corrected with TEACH
IN. The various program blocks can be entered thought the keyboard and be
executed immediately. Positions approached by the direction keys or
handwheel can also be stored. Additional information such as G functions,
feeds or M functions can be entered in the same block.
-> Editor
The working part on the machine tool responsible for the machining of the
workpiece, e.g. turning tool, milling cutter, drill, laser beam.
The tool is selected by programming a T function (4 decade integer) in the
block. Selection of the offset values associated with the tool is by means of
D numbers.
In order to be able to directly program a required workpiece contour, the
control must traverse a path which is equidistant from the programmed contour
making allowance for the radius of the tool used (G41/G42).
All programs and data such as part programs, subroutines, tool offsets, zero
offsets etc. can be stored in the mutual CNC user memory.
