The following possibilities are available for preventing unauthorized access to
NC data and functions
Entry of password
Locking with keyswitch
Cycle disable
All -> messages and alarms are displayed on the operator panel in plaintext
with the corresponding abbreviation for the clearance criterion. The display is
separated into alarms (alarm line) and messages (message line).
If the alarm window is selected, additional help can be displayed for the alarms
and messages by pressing the info key.
If the position measuring system used is not an absolute value encoder, it is
necessary to approach the reference point to ensure that the actual values
supplied by the measuring system are in keeping with the machine coordinate
values.
Reading out of files and/or directories to an external storage unit.
Central program that can be selected by means of the data area key. Area
switchover (REGIE.EXE) allows the operator to start further applications.
(Application Specific Integrated Circuit): Integrated circuit which, as opposed
to standard circuit is designed and manufactured in accordance with
application-specific characteristics.
Mode of the control (block sequence mode in accordance with DIN): Mode in
NC systems where a part program is selected and continuously executed.
With auxiliary functions, additional information can be transferred in part
programs to the PLC where they initiate responses that have been defined by
the machine manufacturer.
Copying of the contents of memory to an external storage unit.
Compensation for mechanical backlash in a machine, e.g. when reversing ball
screws. The backlash compensation can be entered separately for each axis.
The backup battery ensures that the PLC user program is stored in such a way
that it will not be lost if there is a power failure and that defined data areas
(R parameters, tool offsets etc.), flags, timers and counters are held remanent.
Rate of data transfer (bit/s).
Workpiece in the unmachined state.
Part of a part program, concluded by a Line Feed. A distinction is made
between main blocks and subblocks.
