WARNING
CALIFORNIA PROPOSITION 65 WARNING:
Batteries, battery posts, terminals and related
accessories contain lead and lead compounds and
other chemicals known to the State of California to
cause cancer, birth defects, or other reproductive harm.
Battery electrolyte is poisonous. It contains sulfuric
acid. Serious burns can result from contact with skin,
eyes or clothing.
ANTIDOTE:
External: Flush with water.
Internal: Drink large quantities of water or milk. Follow
with milk of magnesia, beaten egg, or vegetable oil. Call
a physician immediately.
Eyes: Flush with water for 15 minutes and get prompt
medical attention.
Batteries produce explosive gases. Keep sparks, flame,
cigarettes, etc. away. Ventilate when charging or using
in an enclosed space. Always shield eyes when
working near batteries.
KEEP OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN.
NOTE: Expected battery shelf life is 6-8 months
depending on storage conditions. As a general rule
before placing the battery into service, check the
battery condition and charge accordingly.
New Batteries: Batteries must be fully charged
before use or battery life can be reduced by 10-30%
of full potential. Charge battery for 3-5 hours at a
current equivalent of 1/10 of the battery's rated amp/
hour capacity (i.e. 12amp hr x .10 = 1.2 amp
charging). Do not use the alternator to charge a new
battery.
