BRAKES
4. Remove caliper mounting bolts and lift caliper off of
disc.
NOTE: When removing caliper, be careful not to
damage brake line. Support caliper so as not to
kink or bend brake line.
5. Push caliper pistons into caliper bore slowly with
pads installed.
6. Remove the caliper slide pins and remove the brake
pads from the caliper.
7. Clean the caliper with brake cleaner or alcohol.

8. Measure the thickness of the pad material. Replace
Sportsman Rear Pad Installation
1. Install new brake pads in caliper body.
2. Install and tighten the slide pin with a hex wrench.

Rear Brake Pad Thickness
Service Limit: .180" (4.6 mm)
WARNING
If the brake pads are contaminated with grease,
oil, or liquid soaked do not use the pads,
use only new clean pads.
