Port Mirroring

Port mirroring (port monitoring) selects network traffic that you can analyze with a network analyzer, such
as a SwitchProbe device or other Remote Monitoring (RMON) probe.
5-404 monitor session source
Configure the source interface for a selected monitor session. Use the source interface slot/port
parameter to specify the interface to monitor. Rx monitors only ingress packets while tx monitors only
egress packets. If {rx | tx} options are not specified, the destination port monitors both ingress and
egress packets.
Note: The source and destination cannot be configured as remote on the same device.
Note: If an interface is configured as a VLAN and is a LAG member, the VLAN cannot be designated as a
source VLAN for a Monitor session. In the same manner, if an interface is configured in a VLAN and
assigned as a source VLAN for a monitor session, the interface can be designated as a LAG member.
No command removes the specified mirrored port from the selected port mirroring session.
