5.7.2 Using a Power Cord to Charge the Battery

A = Power cord connects here.

WARNING!
Risk of Death, Injury or Damage
The battery is capable of being charged while
attached to the lift.
– DO NOT activate the emergency stop when
attempting to charge the battery. The battery
will not charge if the emergency stop is
activated.
– While charging takes place, the patient lift
cannot be used. DO NOT attempt to move
or use the patient lift without unplugging the
power cord from the wall outlet.
– DO NOT attempt to use the patient lift if
the battery housing is damaged. Replace the
battery before any further use.
1. Attach the power cord to the control box.
2. Plug the power cord into a power outlet.
The battery will charge in approximately 4 hours.
Charging must be done in a room with good air
ventilation.
3. Disconnect the power cord from the power outlet after
the battery has been fully charged.
