Volume

The Volume tab (beneath the Live View Frame) is selected to control the sound level played through the
speaker of the mobile computer. Normally, during a patrol, audio being recorded is not being played
through the speaker except, for example, when a partner inside the vehicle monitors a conversation
taking place outside the vehicle. The MVX 1000 retains the last volume settings as set by a user. In
some configurations, the MVX 1000 is set to retain the last volume settings following MVX 1000 reset.
The Volume setting does not affect the selection of the microphones being recorded, or the
IMPORTANT
volume of the recorded audio.
Tap the Volume tab to access the following sound controls:
• Mute/Unmute Sound: Tap the Speaker Button to mute/unmute sound coming from all active
microphones.
• Adjust Sound Level: Move the Speaker slider to adjust the general sound level.
• Enable/Disable a Microphone: Tap the A, B or C Buttons to enable/disable microphone sound to the
mobile computer speaker.
Wired Connection Found: The wired connection indication is displayed when wired
connection between the MVX1000 Unit inside the vehicle and the back office server is
recognized.
WLAN Connection Found: The wireless connection indication is displayed when
WLAN connection between the MVX1000 Unit inside the vehicle and the back office
server is recognized.
WWAN Connection Found: The wireless connection indication is displayed when
WWAN connection between the MVX1000 Unit (through the Motorola Data Terminal)
and the back office server is recognized.
Uploading Incident to the back office server is active.
Downloading System Updates from the back office server is active.
No Network Found (out of wireless network range or not connected to wired network)
This indication is normally displayed when the vehicle is on patrol.
