Telephone base and charger installation

If you subscribe to high-speed Internet service (digital subscriber line - DSL)
through your telephone line, you must install a DSL filter between the telephone
line cord and the telephone wall jack. The filter prevents noise and caller ID
problems caused by DSL interference. Please contact your DSL service provider
for more information about DSL filters.
Follow the steps below to install the telephone.
NOTE: The telephone base comes ready for tabletop use without installing the wall-mount
bracket. If you want to mount your telephone on a wall, refer to Wall-mount installation on
page 10 for details.
Electrical outlet not
controlled by a
wall switch

Plug the large end
of the base power
adapter into an
electrical outlet
not controlled by
a wall switch.

Plug the small
end of the base
power adapter
into the POWER
jack on the
bottom of the
telephone base.
DSL filter (not
included) required if
you have DSL high-
speed Internet service.
Telephone line cord

Telephone wall jack

Plug the other
end of the
telephone line
cord into a
telephone
wall jack.

Route the cords
through the slots.

Plug one end of

line cord into the
TEL LINE jack on
the bottom of the
telephone base.
