(broken) dial tone. Contact your telephone service provider for more details.

Key tone
The handset is factory programmed to beep with each key press. If you turn
off the KEY TONE, there are no beeps when you press keys.

Set date/time
If you subscribe to caller ID service, the day, month and time are set
automatically with each incoming call (see About caller ID on page 36).
However, the year must be set so that the day of the week can be calculated
from the caller ID information.
Follow the steps below to set the month, day, year and time.
