CYLINDER HEAD
INSTALLATION
1. Install:
S Gasket (cylinder head)
S Dowel pins 2
S Cylinder head
NOTE:
Pass the timing chain through the timing chain
cavity.
2. Tighten:
S Cylinder head nuts 1 X
S Cylinder head bolts
NOTE:
S First, tighten the nuts 1 X
ly 20 Nm (2.0 mSkg, 15 ftSlb) with a torque
wrench.
S Retighten the nuts to specification torque.
Tightening steps:
S Tighten the nuts 1 , 2
Nut (cylinder head):
1st 20 Nm (2.0 mSkg, 14 ftSlb)
2nd 121_
S Tighten the nuts 3 X 6 , 8 , 9
Nut (cylinder head):
1st 20 Nm (2.0 mSkg, 14 ftSlb)
2nd 105_
S Tighten the nuts 7 ,
Nut (cylinder head):
1st 20 Nm (2.0 mSkg, 14 ftSlb)
2nd 140_
S Cylinder head bolts
Bolt (cylinder head):
12 Nm (1.2 mSkg, 8.7 ftSlb)
NOTE:
S Apply engine oil onto the threads of the cylin-
der head nuts.
S Tighten the cylinder head nuts in the proper
tightening sequence as shown and torque
them in two stages.
