The SONET/SDH OC768/STM256 PIC is supported on T640 routers, T1600 routers, and
T4000 routers. This PIC has a fixed SONET/SDH OC768/STM256 short reach (SR-1)

optical interface.

To determine which transceivers support each SONET/SDH OC768/STM256 standard,
see "Supported Network Interface Standards by Transceiver for ACX, M, MX, and T Series
Routers" on page 19. The "Cables and connectors" section in the description for each
PIC lists which standards and transceivers are supported for that device.
