Power Trim Assistant

The power trim assistant (PTA) adjusts the trim angle
automatically according to engine speed (RPM). PTA
will not move the drive if it is manually trimmed
above 6°.
The PTA is turned on and off in the SETTINGS menu
of the "single information view." For additional informa-
tion, please see Calibrations and Settings on
page 154.
It is possible to change the power trim assistant de-
fault settings by performing a power trim calibration.
Please refer to the same section as mentioned above.
NOTICE! If the boat is equipped with Power Trim As-
sistant, the function must be turned off be-
fore taking the boat out of the water. This
prevents automatic trimming of the drive(s)
if any test runs are performed while the boat
is on land.

Emergency Trimming

If a fault occurs which prevents the drive from being
trimmed with the power trim control panel, it is possi-
ble to perform an emergency trimming.
NOTICE! If the power trim function does not work, the
trim gauges may not work either. Before
starting an emergency trimming, check the
trim angle of the drive(s) visually.
NOTICE! When emergency trimming is performed,
the automatic stop will not work. The
drive(s) may be trimmed outside the trim
ranges, resulting in damage to the boat or
drive.
While pressing and holding down the NEUTRAL BUT-
TON 9 on the control panel, trim the drive(s) with the
buttons on the power trim control panel or the control
lever(s).
