high-pass filter—HPF
Proper use of the high-pass filter reduces or eliminates unwanted low fre-
quencies without substantially affecting the program material. Quite often
such unwanted low frequencies are included with in-coming mic- or line-

vocal mics. The slope of the high-pass filter is 12dB per octave.
