COPYING PROBLEMS

CANNOT COPY?
• Is your unit set to fax mode?*
Press the COPY button to light the COPY lamp.
• Is the cartridge out of toner?
Replace with a new cartridge.
• Is a document occupying your memory space?*
Either print out any documents received to your
memory or wait until any documents stored in your
memory for sending have sent, then try copying again.
ARE COPIED DOCUMENTS CUT AT THE MARGINS?
• Is the document set in the correct direction?
Set the document in the correct direction and copy again.
• Is the size of the copy paper you selected too small?
Select an appropriate size of copy paper and copy again.
• Are the document guides for the paper in the stack
bypass set for the width of the paper?
Adjust the document guides for the copy paper to fit the
size of the paper.
NOTE: When the Error lamp on the operation panel
flashes, check if there are any messages on the display.
*Models with incorporated fax board
