• The surfacecontrols are electronic.To set requires two steps: 1) touchthe On/Off
Pad (an orangeindicator lightappears)and 2) touchthe Lower and/orHigher Pads
to select a setting. The firsttap on the Lower Pad will be the "1" (Low)settingand
thefirsttap onthe Higher Padwillbe the"9" (High)setting.To selectothersettings,
touchand hold the Lower and
Higher Pad. The number of red indicatorlights
correspond to the selected setting.
• The rightfrontdualelementis controlled by the Small/Large Pad. Whenthe small
indicator lightto theleft ofthe Small/Large Pad islit,the smallelementison. When
the largeindicator light to the rightofthe Small/Large Pad is lit,the largeelementis
on. To switch from one element size to the other, touch the Small/Large Pad.
The HotSurfaceLight(located ontheglasscooktop) w iflglowredto indicate thata cooking
area is hot. This lightwillremainon untilthe area hascooled.

Many factors willdeterminethe controlsetting that providesthe best resultssuch as
size and type of ccokware or amountof food to be cooked. Low or varying electrical
voltagemay also be a factor. While someexperimentationis required,the suggested
settingsare providedas a general guideline untilyou becomefamiliar withyour range,

(High)A fast heat-upto startcookingquickly,to bringliquids to a boil,to preheat
oil for deep fat frying.

(MediumHigh) Forfast frying or browningfoods;to maintainrapidboil of large
amounts of food, to maintain oil temperaturefor deep fat frying.
