12. Glazed cookware - only certain types of glass, glass-ceramic,
ceramic, earthenware,or other glazed cookwareare suitablefor
cooktopsurface withoutbreaking due to the suddenchange in
temperature. Use only such cookware as you know has been
approvedfor this purpose.
13. Cookware handlesshouldbe turned inwardand not extend over
adjacent surface heating elements to avoid burns, ignition of
flammablematerialsand spillagedue to unintentional contactwith
the cookware.
14. Do not soak or immerse removableheatingelementsin water.
15. CAUTION - Do not store items of interestto childrenin cabinets
above range- childrenclimbingon the rangeto reach itemscould
be seriouslyinjured.
16. Do nottouchsurfaceunitsor areas near units,heatingelementsor
interiorsurfacesof oven. Surface unitsor heatingelementsmay be
hoteventhough theyare darkincolor.Areasnearsurfaceunits and
interior surfaces of an oven may become hot enough to cause
burns. Duringand after use, do nottouchor let clothingor other
flammable materials contact these areas until they have had
sufficient timeto cool. Othersurfacesmay becomehotenoughto
cause bums - amongthese surfacesare the cooktop,upper door
frame andglass,ovenventopeningand surfacesnearthe opening,
oven door, and oven window.
17. Do not cook on glass-ceramiccookingsurface if the cooktopis
broken. Cleaning solutions and spilloversmay penetrate the
broken cooktopand create a shock hazard. Contact an authorized
Jenn-Air Service Contractor.
18. Clean glass-ceramiccooktopswith caution. If wet sponge or cloth
is used to wipe spills on a hot cooking area, be careful to avoid
steam bums. Some cleansers can produce noxious fumes if
applied to a hot surface.
19. Do not operate with damaged cooking element after any product
malfunction until proper repair has been made.
20. Keep all switches "OFF" when unit is not in use.
21. Use care when opening oven door. Let hot air or steam escape
before removing or replacing food.
22. Do not heat unopened food containers. Build-up of pressure may
cause container to burst and result in injury.
23. Keep oven vent ductsunobstructed.
