102 Using the Local tools menu
The "Local Diagnostics", "Network Configuration", and "Lock Menu" menus
are for use only by the system administrator. The functionality on those
menus is outside the scope of this document, and is not covered in this
document.
ATTENTION
Administrator use only
You should use the "Local Diagnostics", "Network Configuration", or "Lock
Menu" menus only if the system administrator explicitly instructs you to do so.
The Preferences menu contains settings that are user-editable. This
chapter contains the following procedures that explain how to edit the
settings on the Preferences menu.

Setting the contrast for the LCD display

The initial contrast setting for the LCD display screen is downloaded
from the server when your telephone is first configured by your system
administrator.
Use the following procedure to adjust the contrast of the LCD display
screen on your phone.
