CARBURETOR REMOVAL
Turn the fuel valve "OFF" and loosen the drain screw to drain
the fuel from the carburetor .
Gasoline is extremely flammable and is explosive under certain con-
ditions. Work in a well ventilated area with th e engine stopped. Do
not sm ob or allow flames or sparks in the work area or where gaso-
line is stored.
Disconnect t he f uel tube from the carburetor.
Remove the carburetor top and pull out the throttle valve.
l oosen the connecting tube band screw .
Remove the carburetor mounting bolts and the carburetor.

THROTTLE VALVE DI SASSEMBLY
Remove the throttle cable from t he throttle valve by compress -
ing the spring .
Remove the needle retainer and jet needle.
Inspect the throttle valve and jet needle for scratches, wea r or
damage .
