REMOVE CRANKSHAFT
(a)
Lift out the crankshaft.
(b)
Remove
the
upper bearings and upper thrust washers
from the cylinder
block.
HINT:
Arrange
the
main bearing caps,
bearings
and
thrust washers in correct order.
18.
REMOVE VALVE LIFTERS
(a)
Remove
the
eight
@
bolts and
pull out the
valve
lifters.
NOTICE: With the
engine
in the
upside
down position,
the lifters will drop in the
engine
it ttre
@ bohs are
re-
moved.
(b)
Remove
the eight @ bolts, if
necessary.
HINT:
Arrange the valve lifters in correct order.
