INSPECT RELIEF VALVE
Coat
the
valve
with
engine
oil
and
check
that
it
falls
smoothly into the valve hole by its own weight.

not, replace
the
relief valve.

oil pump assembly.

INSPECT DRIVE
AND DRIVEN
ROTORS

lnspect Rotor Body
Clearance
Using a thickness gauge, measure the clearance between
the driven rotor and
body.
Standard body
clearance:

lf the clearance is greater
than maximum,
replace rotors.
lf
necessary, replace the oil pump assembly.

edge,
measure
the
clearance between
the rotor
and
precision
straight
edge.

clearance:

the
clearance
is
greater
than
maximum, replace the
rotors.

rotor
