The basic troubleshooting procedures
for the diesel engine (valve clearance, compression,
bearings,
valves, pistons, etc.)are the same checks you would
make
for
a
gasoline engine.

The repair of
the injection pump required considerable skill and use of
a
special test
bench.

Check
for battery voltage at starter terminals 30 and
50.
