CHECK CHARGING CIRCUIT WITH LOAD
(a)
With the engine running at
2,0OO
rpm,
turn
on the
high beam headlights and place the heater fan control
switch
al"H".
(b)
Check
the reading on the ammeter.
Standard amperage:
12V
type
3O
A or more
24Y
type
15 A or more
lf the
ammeter reading
is
less
than
standard amperage,
repair the alternator. (See
page
CH-9)
HINT: lf
the battery is
fully
charged,
the
indication will
sometimes be
less
than standard amperage.
