Carburetor Adjustment
1. Start and warm up the engine to normal op'erating temperature.
2. Set the engine idle speed to 1,400 rpm by adjusting the stop screw
(l).
Turning the stop screw in the (A) direction will increase the
rpm, and turning in the (B) direction will result in a decrease.
3. Turn the pilot screw (2) clockwise until the engine misses or
decreases in speed, then counterclockwise until the engine again
misses or decreases in speed. Set the pilot screw exactly between
these two extreme positions to adjust fuel mixture. Usually the
correct setting will be found to be 1·1/8 turns open from a fully
closed position. /
4. If the idel speed changes after adjusting fuel mixture, readjust the

idle speed by turning the stop screw.
Ajuste del carburador
1. Arranque y caliente el motor hasta llegar a la temperatura normal de funcionamiento.
2. Ajuste la velocidad del motor a 1.400 rpm de marcha en vacio, mediante el tornillo de detencion
(1). Girando el tornillo de detencion en la direccion (A), aumenta la velocidad del motor y en la
direccion (B), reduce.
3. Haga girar el tornillo piloto (2) a la derecha hasta que se siente una perdida

disminucion de velocidad,
luego, hagalo girar a la izquierda hasta que ocurra 10 mismo. Fije el tornillo piloto en el punto exacta-
mente entre las dos posiciones extremas, para obtener la mejor mezcla de combustible. Por 10 general,
la mejor posicion se encuentra en el punto de 1·1/8 vueltas abriendo de la posicion completamente
cerrada.
4. Si la velocidad de marcha en varro fluctua despues de ajustar la mezclea de combustible, reajuste la
66 velocidad de marcha en vado haciendo girar el tornillo de detencion.
