To load media on the take-up reel unit

This section explains the procedure, taking in TENSION winding mode for instance.
Load a paper tube onto the scroller flange and scroller shaft.

Knob
(1) The ange spacer has teeth. Push it as far as it
will go.
(2) Match the ange stopper with the claw of the
ange spacer
(3) Tighten the knob to secure the ange spacer
and the ange stopper.
CAUTION
- Hold the knob to move the ange stopper. Holding
another part to move the ange stopper may lead to
injuries.

Remove the two screws and move the roll spacer to the center of the
media. There are three screwing positions.

- Do not grab this roll spacer as it has
several protrusions.

Insert the scroller into the paper tube,
determine the distance between the media
edge and the ange.

Rotate the handle clockwise as far as it will
go, and then secure the scroller at the point.
The roll spacer prevents the
paper tube from bending at
the center due to the media
weight.
Move it when using media that
tends to bend (100-inch media,
etc.).
Move it also if it comes in the
way of the flange spacer used
with media short in width.
CAUTION
Do not move this
roll spacer.
Attach the paper
setting gauge's
ange side to the
ange's spoke side.
Handle
