Using the Supplementary CD

The Supplementary CD contains documentation and software applications that are
approved for your xSeries 130. The following table lists the names of the directories
on the Supplementary CD and a description of the contents of each directory.
Note: If you install, remove, or change the applications on your appliance server, you
must install Microsoft Windows 2000 Service Pack 2 from the Supplementary
CD after you modify the components.
Directory name
IAAConfig
To install the Advanced Appliance Configuration Utility, run setup.exe
from the IAAConfig directory.
Recovery
DiskCreator.exe creates a recovery enablement disk for use when

recovering the appliance. To make a diskette, run the DiskCreator.exe
and insert a formatted 1.44 MB diskette into drive A when prompted.
i386
If you add device drivers or operating system features, you might be
prompted to insert your Microsoft Windows 2000 Advanced Server CD. If
so, insert the Supplementary CD, and specify path e:\i386 where e is the
drive letter assigned to your CD-ROM drive, and then reapply Service
Pack 2 from the Supplementary CD.
Service Pack 2
The Service Pack 2 Directory contains source files for the Microsoft
Windows 2000 Service Pack 2, that is installed on your appliance. See
the readme.txt in the directory for notes on using the service pack.
terminalservicesc
The stand-alone Windows Terminal Services Client application, supports

Web-based terminal services. This is an optional installation.
To install the Terminal Services Client, run setup.exe from the Disk1
subdirectory.
NWSA
Netfinity Web Server Accelerator is installed and configured as part of the
preinstalled software. However, you can reinstall NWSA from this
directory. Do not reinstall NWSA unless directed to do so by an IBM
technical-support representative.
documentation
There is additional documentation for supporting the appliance server
that is not found on the Documentation CD.
systemtools
The System Tools directory contains utilities to update and configure
BIOS and firmware for your appliance. Do not use these utilities unless
specifically instructed to do so.
