NetWare 5.xJ in NDS Mode
To use this machine as a network printer in the NetWare 5.xJ NDS mode network, the same settings made for the NetWare
4.xJ must be made. For details, refer to Chapter 3 Setting NOS (Server Setup) in NetWare 4.xJ NDS Mode.

5.1
Setting up NetWare with WebPage or MAP
The following contents for NetWare 4.x must be setup.
When WebPage is used:

Print Server Name

Preferred NDS Context
•
Preferred NDS Tree
•
Bindery Mode
When MAP is used:
•
Print Server Name
•
Preferred NDS Context
•
Preferred NDS Tree
•
Disable Bindery
Set other items corresponding to requirements.

Setting up NetWare Administrator
5.2.1
Starting NetWare Administrator
This is performed on the workstation.
(1) Log in for the NetWare server as an Administrator.
(2) Start NetWare Administrator.

NetWare Administrator is found in the Public directory of the SYS volume. Open the Public directory Explorer and
startup Nwadmin3x.exe.

If you are using IntranetWare on Windows 95 or Windows 98, startup Nwadmin95.exe located in the Win95 directory
of the public directory.
5.2.2
Setup 1: Creating NDPS Broker
When the server is installed as supporting NDPS service, the NDPS Broker is created as default.
(1) Click the container object to create the NDPS Broker.
(2) Choose Create in the Object menu.
(3) The Class of New Object window appears.
(4) Choose NPDS Broker and click on [OK].
(5) Create NDPS Broker Object appears.
(6) Enter the name of the NDPS BROKER and RMS Volume, and click [Create].
(7) The NDPS Broker is created.
Enter the name of the print server to be created.
Enter the NDS context (full path) to be connected.
Enter the NDS tree to be connected.
Be sure to set "Disable".
Enter the name of the print server to be created.
