Connecting to P2 ROP application

Using a P2 ROP application that operates on an iPad connected to the camera via wireless LAN, you can remotely control some functions of the
camera.
For the settings for network connection, refer to "Setting for connection with P2 ROP application" (page 187).
For details on operation of the P2 ROP application, refer to the P2 ROP application help file.

Switch functionality in remote control mode

The following switches and buttons on the camera do not function in remote control mode.
f <MENU> button
f <SEL/PUSH SET> dial button
f <GAIN> switch
f <WHITE BAL> switch
f <BARS> button
f Manual focus operation using the focus ring
f Switching between auto focus mode and manual focus mode using the <FOCUS> switch
f Motorized zoom operation of the zoom lever (grip side/handle side)

Recording and playback operations in remote control mode

When connected to the P2 ROP application, recording and playback can be performed with either the camera or the P2 ROP application.
@ NOTE
t The status adjusted by connecting the P2 ROP application will always be recorded on the camera.
t When the camera is connected to the P2 ROP application, the P2 playlist editing function is not available.
t To enable operations on the camera, disconnect the network on the iPad side, and then turn the power switch of the camera from <OFF> to <ON>.
