Power supply

r What is the range of voltage supported by the attached AC adaptor?
f AC 110 V - 240 V
r Can I use the AC adaptor with the battery attached?
f Yes, you can. When you connect the AC adaptor with the battery attached (and the power is turned on), the power supply source will be switched to
the AC adaptor.

Battery

r Can I use the battery of a previous model that I have been using?
f You can use the battery of P2 hand-held camera recorder of previous models (CGA-D54/CGA-D54s).
f Using the genuine Panasonic battery is recommended.

r Can I use the attached battery with charge level indicator with a P2 camera recorder of previous model?
f You cannot use the attached battery with a device other than this camera.

Shooting

r The focus is not adjusted automatically.
f Is manual focus mode set? The focus will be adjusted automatically by setting auto focus mode.
f Do you perform shooting in an environment where focus may not be adjusted properly in auto focus mode? In some environment, auto focus function
cannot adjust the focus correctly. In such cases, adjust the focus in manual focus mode.
Under following conditions, focus may not be adjusted properly:
- Shooting subjects that is in long and short distances at the same time
- Shooting a subject through a dirty glass
- Shooting in a dark place
- With a glittering object nearby
- Shooting a fast-moving subject
- Shooting a low contrast subject
r Shooting cannot be performed even when the microP2 memory card or P2 memory card is inserted correctly.
f Recording cannot be performed when the write protect switch on the P2 memory card is at the PROTECT position.
f Recording cannot be performed when the write protect switch on the microP2 memory card is at the LOCK position.
f If the remaining free space of the P2 card is extremely small, save the contents to another medium and delete them, or insert a new card.
f If the P2 card is in a format that cannot be used, reformat the card on the camera.
f Is it a 2 GB P2 memory card? If so, the media information display shows [E] and the card cannot be used.
f Does the number of clips exceed 1000? Clips over 1000 cannot be recorded in a single P2 card. Recording in the one-clip recording mode creates
combined clips with multiple clips included. Even when the thumbnail screen shows smaller number of clips, the actual number of clips may be 1000.
r Loop recording cannot be performed.
f Loop recording can only be performed on the microP2 memory card slot. Also, two cards with at least one minute of free space must be inserted.

Editing

r Computer (Windows/Mac) cannot be connected via USB. (The computer does not recognize the camera.)
f Is USB host mode set? The USB host mode is a mode to connect a hard disk to the camera. Set [DEVICE] in the main menu → [NETWORK SETUP]
→ [USB MODE SELECT].
f Is the USB driver installed? (Windows)
Download and install the latest USB driver. For Mac, installation of a USB driver for the camera is not necessary.
r Clips imported to computer or external hard disk drive cannot be recognized on application such as P2 Viewer Plus.
f Check if the clips are correctly saved in the file structure of the P2 system (folders and data contained in the CONTENTS folder).
f If clips in the CONTENTS folder or subfolders are renamed or saved as divided data, the clips may not be able to played back.

Playback

r Hot swap playback cannot be performed.
f This camera does not support hot swap playback.
r Clip copying cannot be performed.
f Clips cannot be copied when they are continuously linked in one-clip recording mode. Press the REC button for two seconds and release the clip
linking.
