3. To change the setting, press *.
Depending on the current value, the next sequential valid mode value is selected and
displayed as the setting. For example, if the current value is Pass-thru (0), pressing *
changes the value to 1 (Pass-thru with Logoff). If the current value is Supplicant mode (2),
pressing * changes the value to 0 (Pass-thru).
4. When the 802.1X setting is correct, press # (OK). All telephones display the following text:
Supplicant=setting
*=change #=OK
where setting corresponds to the current value of the system value DOTIXSTAT (802.1X
Supplicant Mode operation control), defined as:
"Disabled" if DOT1XSTAT = 0
"Unicast-only" if DOT1XSTAT = 1
"Unicast/multicast" if DOT1X = 2
5. To change the setting, press *.
Depending on the current value, the next sequential valid mode value is selected and
displayed as the setting. For example, if the current value is Disabled (0), pressing *
changes the value to 1 (Unicast-only). If the current value is Unicast/multicast (2), pressing
* changes the value to 0 (Disabled).
6. When the Supplicant setting is correct, press #.
All telephones except the 4601 display the following text left-justified at the top of the
display:
Save new value?

7. Press the * button to terminate the procedure, or the # button to save the new value. If you
press the # button, all telephones except the 4601 display the following text:
New value being saved
The telephone saves the new value.
