When the S-AIT library is one of several devices on the

SCSI bus

Turn off all SCSI devices on the SCSI bus, including the S-AIT library.
Caution
When connecting or disconnecting a SCSI cable to SCSI devices
(including the S-AIT library), turn off all the SCSI devices. Failing to do so
may result in damage.

Connect the SCSI cable to the next device on the SCSI bus, connect the
terminator to the last device on the bus, then issue the host command to
resume operation.

Notes
• The total length of the SCSI cables between the host computer and the last
device should be less than 12 m (39.4 ft.). (The S-AIT library internal cable
length is 2 m (80 in.).)
• If the S-AIT library is the last device on the SCSI bus, make sure that you
connect the supplied terminator to the open connector.
When you are done, proceed to "Setting the SCSI ID" on page 27.
