During a call you change the volume as shown in the Volume Control section.
If the telephone cannot connect to a line, you may not hear any dial tone on the handset
at all. The problem may be due to the batteries running low, the handset being too far
away from the base station, loss of Internet connection or all of the transmission
channels are being engaged.
