1 GENERAL
This symbol indicates WARNING.

You must read these instructions for use
and the accompanying pamphlet
"SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS"
carefully, before starting up the
machine.
1.1 SYMBOLS
The following symbols appear on the machine.
They are there to remind you of the care and
attention required in use.
This is what the symbols mean:
Warning!
Read the instruction manual and the safety
manual before using the machine.

Watch out for discarded objects. Keep
onlookers away.

Always wear hearing protectors.
Warning!
This machine is not designed to be driven
on public roads.
Warning!
The machine, equipped with original
accessories, may not be driven on slopes
greater than 10º in any direction.

1.2 GENERALHD
This machine is available in two versions.
• Manual transmission, designated Man.
• Hydrostatic transmission, designated HD.
1.3 References
The figures in these instructions for use are
numbered 1, 2, 3, etc.
Components shown in the figures are marked A, B,
C, etc.
A reference to component C in figure 2 is written
"2:C".

2 ASSEMBLY
To avoid injury and damage to people
and property, do not use the machine
until all the measures under "ASSEM-
BLY" have been carried out.

2.1 Assembly components

Components that are to be used at assembly are in-
cluded in the delivery. See fig. 1.

2.2 ENGINE CASING
To fill with fuel and to inspect and maintain the en-
gine and battery, open the engine casing.
The engine must not be running when
the casing is opened.
2.2.1 Opening
1. Ensure that the control arms are in their forward
positions.
2. Raise the seat lock (2:S) and fold the seat for-
wards.
3. Grasp the front edge of the engine casing and
fold up the casing (fig. 3).
2.2.2 Closing
Grasp the front edge of the engine casing and fold
down the casing (fig. 3).
