TRAFFIC (1/2)

"Traffic" Menu
(depending on the
vehicle)
From the home screen, press "Menu",
"Navigation" then "Traffic" to access up-
dated road and traffic information from
the best local sources.
"Traffic" uses information broadcast
over TMC (Traffic Message Channel)
on the FM band. This service indicates
events in the form of dots on the map. It
covers the main routes.
Traffic settings
Press the pop-up menu button, then
"Settings" to access the following set-
tings:
"Traffic"
Activate this option to enable the TMC
receiver to get road and traffic informa-
tion in real time. The rest of the options
below are all related to the TMC func-
tion and are available only if the re-
ceiver is activated.
2.12
"Online traffic"
(depending on the vehicle)
Activate this option to receive road and
traffic information online in real time.
Note: You require a paid subscription
for this function.
"Detour"
Activate this option to determine the
way in which the navigation system
uses the road and traffic information
received in real time to calculate the
route. When a new route is calculated,
or when the system recalculates the
route in light of traffic information re-
ceived, the navigation system proposes
a detour for these traffic incidents after
a certain delay threshold is reached.
You can set the minimum threshold
delay that triggers a route recalculation,
and choose whether or not to confirm
every recalculation proposed by the
system.
"Event types"
Select this option to open a list of traf-
fic incident types. For each type of in-
cident:
– press "On" on line "Consider event" so
that the system takes into account
each incident when calculating the
route.
– press "On" on line "Visible" to make
the incident visible on the route with-
out taking it into account in calculat-
ing the route.
The availability of "Traffic" services
varies depending on the country.
Precautions regarding
navigation
Use of the navigation
system does not in any way
replace the responsibility or vigi-
lance of the driver when driving the
vehicle.
