To check the operation of the defrost system, switch the machine
on and leave it running for approximately 55 minutes in
temperatures below 20° C.

operation. If the unit will not defrost, replace the printed circuit
board. If the machine is still not defrosting, replace the by-pass
valve. Check the machine again after a further hour of operation to
determine that the valve is working correctly.
