To place a call from your Lync client:
» Choose a contact and select Call.
Note: Conference calling not available on VVX Phones with BToE enabled
You cannot make conference calls and the Conference and Join soft keys do not display on your
BToE-enabled Polycom phone running UC software 5.0.x or 5.1.x. However, you can make
conference calls using your Lync client. To make a conference call in your Lync client, add a
participant during an active call. To make a conference call on your phone, you need to disable
BToE. To disable BToE, press the BTOE soft key and press Disable.
To hold a call:
» Select Hold on your Lync client or phone.
The call is on hold on your computer and your phone.
To resume a call:
» Press Resume on your phone or click Resume Call in your Lync client.
Note: Video calls on paired devices not compatible with Microsoft Lync 2013
BToE-enabled Polycom phones running UC software 5.0.x or 5.1.x cannot receive incoming video
calls sent from contacts using Microsoft Lync 2013. However, you can receive video calls from
contacts using Lync 2010. If you receive an incoming video call from a contact using Lync 2013, the
call drops.

Disable BToE on Your Phone and Computer

You can disable the BToE feature on your phone and unpair your phone and computer. When you
disable BToE, you can no longer use the feature on your Polycom phone and Lync client on your
computer.
To disable BToE:
» Do one of the following
Press the BTOE soft key and press Disabled.
Disconnect the Ethernet cable from the PC port on your phone.
BToE is disabled on your phone, and you can no longer use the BToE feature.

Stop the Polycom BToE Connector

You can stop the Polycom BToE Connector at any time. When you stop the application, you can no
longer use the BToE functions on your Polycom phone and computer.
To stop the Polycom BToE Connector:
» Right-click
in the system tray and select Exit.
