Fault, Cause, Remedy

Cause
Instrument has been left ready for measure-
ment for more than 4 minutes.
Batteries discharged.
Instrument has an automatically switch off of
the menu after 120 sec. without use.
Batteries discharged.
Testperson not blowing hard or evenly
enough.
The service period has expired.
Instrument error, eventually caused by elec-
trostatic discharge.
Cause
Accuracy check not successful.
Measured concentration exceeds measuring
limits.
Instrument error, no measuring function pos-
sible.
The service period has expired.
No rechargeable NiMH batteries in the instru-
ment.
Remedy
Switch on again.
Replace batteries, page 28, resp. charge the
rechargeable batteries.
Reselect menu item.
Replace batteries, resp. charge the recharge-
able batteries.
Ask to blow harder and more evenly.
Perform safety inspection, by trained service
personnel, e. g. from Dräger Safety.
Remove batteries (at least 2 sec.) and insert
them again, if the fault reappears call Service
of Dräger Safety.
Remedy
Repeat accuracy check, if fault reappears,
call Service of Dräger Safety.
Use lower concentrations.
Remove batteries (at least 2 sec.) and insert
them again, if the fault reappears call Service
of Dräger Safety.
Perform safety inspection, by trained service
personnel, e. g. from Dräger Safety.
Replace batteries with rechargeable NiMH
batteries. Start charging.
