5.6 Typical MDF Scenarios

This section describes typical installation scenarios.
5.6.1
Installation Scenario A
You want to install the IES-2500 in an environment where there are no previously installed MDFs. There is no
phone service and you want to install the IES-2500 for data-access only. No connection from the Telco-50 CO
connector is necessary.
You may connect using an MDF or attach RJ-11 connectors to the non-IES-2500 end of the Telco-50 cable and
then connect to DSL modems directly.
Procedure to Connect to an MDF
Connect the Telco-50 connector end of the cable to the Telco-50 connector labeled USER on the
