Configuring the Preinstalled

Solaris 10 Operating System

This chapter describes how to configure the Solaris

might be preinstalled on your Sun Fire X4150 server. This chapter assumes that your

server has a hard drive installed, with the Solaris operating system preinstalled.

Your system might be different, depending on your hard drive configuration.

To deliver preinstalled Solaris, you can select a delivery option in the GRUB menu

that allows you to choose a delivery method:

Deliver Solaris preinstall through the serial management port (default method), or

■

Deliver the preinstalled Solaris 10 image using a directly connected monitor and

■

keyboard.
