24.1 Overview

Point-to-Point Tunneling Protocol (PPTP) is a network protocol that enables transfers of data from a
remote client to a private server, creating a Virtual Private Network (VPN) using TCP/IP-based
networks.

24.2 The PPTP VPN Setup Screen

Use this screen to configure the PPTP VPN settings on the VMG for a dial-up connection. The
following figure helps explain the main fields in the web configurator.
Click Security > PPTP VPN to open this screen as shown next.
