Thanks for purchasing this product from the AV Toolbox Division of TV One. The VS-612 Video to HDMI Up Converter is designed to convert analog Composite or S-Video signals to digital HDMI signals. It will also embed an analog stereo audio signal into the HDMI digital steam. - Page 5 Getting the Best Results There are many factors affecting the quality of results when scaling video signals. Some basic precautions will ensure the best possible performance from your Up Converter. Output display device – The quality of the output signal will depend largely upon the type and quality of display device used.

The first step is to connect either a Composite Video or S-Video source to the input of the VS-612 Up Converter, connect its output to a display device and lastly connect the AC adapter. The series of drawings below show the locations of the input, outputs, controls and power connector. - Page 8 Video or S-Video cable from the output of the source and the appropriate input of the VS-612. Next connect the audio output of the source device to the Right (R) and Left (L) audio inputs of the VS-612 after first making certain that the source audio output is working properly. Connecting the Output Connect an HDMI cable between the output connector on the VS-612 and the input of the HDMI capable monitor.

OPERATING THE UNIT After connecting the input of the VS-612 to an appropriate source and the output to an appropriate display, apply power and the unit will automatically set the resolution to the native resolution of the display provided the display supports the EDID protocol. -
