2-4. Pan / Tilt Adjustments

Be sure to perform the pan and tilt adjustments after the
following procedure.
In case of:
. Replace EEPROM (IC1006) on the MDR-19 board
. Replace or repair the camera block, MDR-19 board,
MDR-20 board or SE-656 board
. Remove the camera block, MDR-20 board or SE-656
board.
. Replace the pan motor or tilt motor
. Perform the disassembling and assembling of the pan
and tilt mechanical block
. Perform the disassembling and assembling of the cabinet
on the pan and tilt driving block
Equipment required
. I/O PORT tool (J-6432-900-A)
I/O PORT tool consists of a harness I/O PORT (J-6432-
910-A) and an alarm board (J-6432-920-A).
. SNC-RZ30 Pan/Tilt Adjuster software (J-6432-860-A)
. Personal computer (Hereafter referred to as PC)
. AC adaptor (1-468-626-31)
Connection
1. Remove the bottom plate (base plate assembly) of the
SNC-RZ30N/RZ30P. (Refer to Section 1-4-5.)
2. Turn on the power of PC.
3. Set the DIP switch S001 to 1110 of the SY-303 board.
4. Connect each equipment according to the following
figure.
5. Connect an AC adaptor to DC IN connector of the
SNC-RZ30N/30P, then turn on the power of the SNC-
RZ30N/RZ30P.

Adjuster software
Preparation
1. Install the SNC-RZ30 Pan/Tilt Adjuster software to
PC.
2. Start the SNC-RZ30 Pan/Tilt Adjuster software. Then,
Pan/Tilt adjuster screen is displayed on the screen.
3. Click Connect button in the RS-232C column. Then
other buttons may possible for using state.
4. Click Motor Power Off button in the Other column.

In case the unit is adjusted once, motor torque is
loaded to the SNC-RZ30N/RZ30P. If this SNC-
RZ30N/RZ30P is adjusted again in that case, it may
possible to fail the adjustment. In that case, perform
the adjustment after click Motor Power Off button in
the Other column and then confirm the motor torque is
unloaded.
5. Click Delete Hole Data button in the Other column.
Then the hole sensor information that is recorded in
EEPROM is deleted.
6. Set the pan to center position (SONY logo in front
position). Set the tilt with the lens side up.
