Operation
1. Switch
The POWE R switch is on the back of the MZ-80P6 and the
ON/OFF LI NE, LI NE FEED and TOP OF FORM switches
are on the front control panel.

to the side marked

ON/OF F LlI\I E: A control for selecti ng the on-I i ne or off ­
line of the printer. Must set the printer
to the on-line mode (LED is on) when
printing.
In the on-line mode, the LINE
FEED and TOP OF FORM switches are
invalid.
LINE FEED:
Printing paper is fed through while this
switch is depressed with the off-I ine
mode. If it is lightly pushed consecutive­
ly, line b'y line paper feed is possible.
(Note) Paper feed pitch for single line
feed is performed by the pitch
setting (explained later) through
software. When not set, it is 1/6
inch pitch.

TOP OF FORM: When this switch is pushed with the off-line mode, printing paper is fed to the top
line of the next page. Top line of the page means the printing line when the power
is turned on.
(Note) The number of lines printed on one page CGln be changed with software.
When the power is turned on, it is 66 I ines per page. However, when the
number of lines is changed midway, the position of the top line of the page
changes.
2. Indicators
There are three indicators (LED), ON LINE, NO PAPER and POWER, on the control panel of the
MZ-80P6.
POWER:
Lights up when the power is turned on.
This indicator blinks when something irregular happens to the printer mechanism.
It is to warn the user.
NO PAPER:
Lights up when there is no paper.
