Chainguards (Optional Equipment)

CHAINGUARDS: Front and Rear Chainguards (Optional Equipment at extra cost) are recommended for
higher than normal usage (100 hours or more per year) and will provide protection from thrown objects with
careful operation. Chainguards must be maintained in good repair by replacing missing or worn sections or by
being replaced when seriously worn or damaged. Figure Asm-R-0295 & Asm-R-0296.
Front Chainguard
Attach
the
right
and
assemblies (1) to the mower with 1/2" x 1-1/4"
bolts(2), Lockwashers (4), and Flatwashers
(3). Then attach Chainguard Brackets, left (10)
and right (9) to mower with 1/2" x 1-1/4" Bolts
(2). Flatwashers (3), and Locknuts (4). Fasten
the chain links (5) and (6) to the guards by
inserting the rod (8) through the links and
retaining them with cable stop (7).
Rear Chainguard
Attach the right and left Chainguard assemblies
91) to the mower with 1/2" x 1-1/4" Bolts (2),
Flatwashers (3), and Locknuts (4). Fasten the
chain links (5) to the guard by inserting the rod
(6) through the links and bending the ends.
