Recording MPEG·4 Movies on a Memory Card

You can record MPEG-4 movies with the camcorder or from a tape in the camcorder
(OJ
115).
o
Do not turn off the camcorder, disconnect the power source, open the memory
card cover or remove the memory card while the card access indicator is
flashing. Doing so could result in data damage.
o
When you are using a SO Memory Card, make sure that the protect switch is
set to allow recording.
o
Do not load/unload a cassette during recording.
o
Make sure to insert a memory card with enough remaining capacity.
o
We recommend saving the still images and movies on the memory card to a
computer regularly.
o
We recommend a file size of 1 MB (352
x
288: approx. 20 sec., 176
x
144:
approx. 60 sec.) if you plan to attach the MPEG-4 movie to an e-mail message.
o
The sound of a movie recorded on a memory card will be monaural.
o
You can select the focusing point when recording a movie on the memory card
with the camcorder.
1. Set the camcorder to CARD CAMERA mode.
A white focusing frame appears in the center of the screen. The camcorder will focus on
the subject in the center of the screen. To change the focusing point, see Selecting the
Focusing Point (OJ 108).

2. Press the start/stop button to begin recording.
