5.2 Mechanical Parts
PROBLEM
The coarse focus control is hard
to turn.
Stage lowers by itself or focus is
lost during observation.
Specimen cannot be brought
into focus.
Image shifts when you touch
stage
Specimen moves easily.
Field of view is not the same in
both eyes.
The eyes tire easily.
5.3 Electric Parts
PROBLEM
No illumination.
Bulb frequently burns out.
Insufficient light intensity.
Flickering light.
REASON FOR PROBLEM
The tension adjustment collar is too tight.
Pre-focusing lever is locked.
Tension adjustment ring is too loose.
Stage height adjustment is too low.
Stage is not properly mounted.
The slider holder is not fixed sufficiently.
Interpupillary distance is incorrect.
Incorrect adjustment to the dioptre.
Image is too bright.
REASON FOR PROBLEM
No power supply.
Incorrect installation of the bulb.
The bulb has blown.
The connection of the lamp housing power
plug is incorrect.
Incorrect bulb installed.
Incorrect bulb installed.
The bulb is going to blow.
The power cord has a poor connection.
SOLUTION
Loosen the adjustment collar.
Release pre-focusing lever.
Tighten ring to an optimum tightness.
Raise stage holder height.
Clamp stage.
Fix it securely.
Adjust the interpupillary distance.
Adjust dioptre correctly.
Adjust the bulb voltage.
SOLUTION
Check the power cord.
Install the bulb correctly.
Change bulb.
Review instruction and check connection.
Use the specified bulb.
